Wine, Horseshoes, Old Salvador, And My Good Fellas Phil and Bil is an exploration of personal identity, migration, and the feeling of isolation that comes with navigating between different worlds. Inspired by the story of Caramelo, an Andalusian horse living in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the work reflects my own experience as an immigrant. The changes in my homeland have blurred my memories, while the new life I strive for feels distant and unattainable. Like Caramelo, who stands on an "island of isolation," I too feel trapped in the gap between reality and dreams, the past and the future.

This film is a meditation on human emotions when confronting life's challenges, much like how we all set foot on our own islands of loneliness, feeling helpless yet yearning for something beyond. By combining AI image and video generation with 3D animation, the film creates an absurd yet relatable experience, inviting viewers to take a moment to step outside of reality, just as Caramelo does.
